Restasure Benchmarking is delighted to announce the arrival of Sara Kimber and Paul Crowley to the sales team. Sallie Taylor said “It’s very exciting to have these two join us, particularly at this stage of development within the company and looking forward with a new brand; they both have a wealth of experience from the hospitality sector and will help us to drive our services forward.
“Sara joins us from Whitbread and will be heading up the High Street Restaurant and Hotel sector whilst Paul has come straight from Direct Wines and will be responsible for heading up the Public House sector. They both have a wide range of experience which is a real benefit to our clients – they know they are dealing with people who understand the issues they face on a day to day basis.”

To small for benchmarking?
Restasure Benchmarking’s reporting systems are not just for large or corporate organisations. Small independent and family run businesses can equally benefit from the resources available.
One example of this is the newly signed up family owned Coffee Shop. “We had an enquiry come through from a lady who owns and runs a garden centre coffee shop; she has very little data in connection to the till system in place and found she had to trawl back through her diary to find important information.” said Sallie.
“We went to see her and demonstrated what our system could provide her with. She was so pleased that we had an easy solution – and could provide her with more information than she thought could be available to her.” adds Josh.
Sallie comments, “This lady was concerned at first that she was too small a business and, not being too converse with computers, it would be far too technical for her. She’d heard of our services and wanted to see if they would benefit her. She signed up on the spot and has been using the system on a daily basis since...her accountant has also commented that the reporting facility has made her job far easier as well!
That’s the whole idea behind Restasure, it’s a simple and easy solution with such a wealth of knowledge available at your fingertips. We are delighted to have the Coffee Shop on board and look forward to driving ourselves forward in this sector.”

“We will again be speaking to representatives from some of the largest hospitality companies in the sector and strengthens our commitment to providing market intelligence and business analysis to help them implement smarter working practices.”

New Appointment: Sallie Taylor, Sales Manager.
Although Restasure Benchmarking was only launched in July this year, the business is growing at a fast pace. Josh Tonkinson comments, “We have started to expand at a quicker rate than originally expected. The decision was made to appoint a new Sales Manager to help drive the business forward and provide extra support and customer service to the larger corporate companies. Sallie joins us from the hotel sector where the understanding of benchmarking is already vast.”
Sallie comments, “These are very exciting times and I am delighted to be on board with the rest of the Restasure team; as a publican’s daughter it has been hugely upsetting to see so many pubs and restaurants close in recent times.
“With the information now available through the Restasure reporting systems, owners, operators, area managers and landlords are able to install smarter working practises and have access to previously unobtainable market intelligence. Without the ability to identify true performance, how is a business going to drive itself forward and achieve revenue goals? “

Restaurant Show
Following on from the successful DP Event in September, members of the Restasure team attended the Restaurant Show at Earls Court between 12 and 14 October 2009. The same level of interest and enthusiasm for the benchmarking service was shown as previously encountered at the DP Event. “The team have so much work to do to follow-up the requests we have received, which is great news to a fledgling company such as ours. It proves that people understand the need for market intelligence to help move their business forward – especially in today’s climate”.
Restasure Launches Dynamic Benchmarking.
Restasure used the Restaurant Show to launch a new benchmarking tool – Dynamic Benchmarking. Following feedback from a few potential clients, it became clear that some of the more independent company’s wanted a more simplistic reporting tool to help them better understand their own property in the first instance.
“The new Dynamic tool is an entry level system which is aimed at in-house reporting with the option of obtaining ad-hoc market data reports when required. This has proved very popular and the up-take from the more independent properties has been fantastic.”

DP Event
Restasure Benchmarking attended the DP Event on 07 & 08 September and what a success it was. “We were completely bowled over by the high level of response we received from the businesses we spoke to” said Josh Tonkinson “it just proves that the service we have to offer is viewed as a necessity in helping restaurateurs understand the market in which they operate and, ultimately, guide them in the right direction to achieving their goals”.
The management would like to thank the representatives from all the attending companies including Jom Makan, Frederick Robinsons, Hilton and the Landmark Group for their interest.
Restasure will be attending the next DP Event in November 2009.
